Winemaker
With a winemaking career that began in 1985, Tedo Gzirishvili is one of Georgia’s most respected practitioners of both traditional and modern viticulture. At his family winery, Tedo’s Marani, located in Sagarejo, Kakheti, he crafts wines from organically grown, local grape varieties cultivated with great care and respect for the land.
Winery
Tedo’s wines are made using both ancient Georgian Qvevri methods and European winemaking techniques in stainless steel, reflecting a balance between heritage and innovation. His cellar produces a range of white, rosé, and red dry wines, including Rkatsiteli, Rkatsiteli-Mtsvane, Buera, Tavkveri-Buera, Tavkveri, Budeshuri Tsiteli, and Saperavi.
Vineyard
Tedo’s vineyards are located in the region of Kakheti, Georgia. At the heart of Tedo’s philosophy is a deep commitment to natural, organic winemaking and the preservation of Georgia’s endemic grape varieties through both traditional craftsmanship and experimental blends that express the unique character of Kakheti’s terroir.
