Femme Fête with Simonica and Tilisma Winery

Femme Fête comes to Boston in February 2026, bringing a signature mix of great wine, inspiring stories, and women-led creativity to the city. Femme Fête is celebrating female makers from around the world, and this year Georgia is making a particularly strong impression. Among the many gifted producers pouring in Boston are two of Saperavi Brothers’ producers: Simonica and Tilisma Winery. Here is a little (re)introduction:

Nini Chkheidze- Simonica Wines

  • From western Georgia’s Imereti region, Nini Chkheidze is part of the new wave of Georgian winemakers bringing fresh energy to old traditions. Simonica is a family winery, and while it was founded by her father and uncle, Nini has become the key voice behind the wines in recent years. With formal wine training and deep family roots, Nini represents a generation that’s comfortable bridging the local and the global.

Ketevan Hubert- Tilisma Winery

  • In eastern Georgia’s Kakheti region, Ketevan Hubert is helping shape the identity of Tilisma Winery, a small, thoughtful producer built around organic farming and minimal intervention. She revived old family qvevris first buried by her grandfather decades ago, bringing them back into use for modern winemaking. Tilisma’s wines are deeply connected to place. Indigenous grapes like Saperavi and Rkatsiteli are grown with care and made with as little manipulation as possible, allowing the vineyard and vintage to lead the way. At Femme Fête, Ketevan’s presence highlights how tradition doesn’t have to stand still, it can evolve, adapt, and still remain authentic.

Georgia is often called the birthplace of wine, but for a long time its stories were told mostly through history books, and mostly by men. Today, women like Nini and Ketevan are reshaping that narrative, stepping into leadership roles while staying closely connected to their families, land, and culture. This February, Femme Fête isn’t just a celebration of women in wine. It’s a reminder that some of the most exciting stories are coming from places with the deepest roots.
